An official notification issued by the Registrar General on November 3 said the nomination was made by the Chief Justice of the High Court.
The Nodal Officer will serve as the designated point of contact for coordination with I4C. The officer will facilitate the receipt, circulation and dissemination of official cyber safety advisories, guidelines, awareness materials and other relevant information issued by the Centre.
These resources will be shared with judicial establishments under the jurisdiction of the High Court of Meghalaya to strengthen cybersecurity awareness across the state’s judicial system.

The notification, bearing Memo No. HCM.II/117/2026/Comp/3812, has also been circulated to the Chief Justice, High Court judges Justice H.S. Thangkhiew, Justice W. Diengdoh and Justice B. Bhattacharjee, along with other administrative officials.
The move comes amid the increasing use of digital platforms in judicial administration and aims to improve awareness of cyber threats and promote safer digital practices within the judiciary.
