NPP invites applications for GHADC polls

Shillong, Oct 9: The ruling National People’s Party (NPP) has invited applications from intending candidates seeking to contest in the upcoming elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) to be held next year.

According to a notification issued by the election committee, aspiring candidates can obtain application forms from the office of the NPP in Hawakhana, West Garo Hills, Tura, and the offices of the district presidents/secretaries in East Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, and South West Garo Hills, starting from October 10.

The completed application forms, accompanied by a non-refundable fee of Rs 25,000, must be submitted to the designated officials between October 15 and November 14.

The application should include supporting documents such as caste certificate, educational qualification certificate, EPIC, and Aadhaar card.

The designated officials authorized to receive the applications are Dr JD Sangma, member-secretary election committee; MN Marak, NPP general secretary and all district presidents and secretaries of the party.
