Efforts on for consensus on railway projects: Dhar

Shillong, Nov 4: Efforts are on by the state government to build consensus among stakeholders on railway projects in the state, said Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Transport Sniawbhalang Dhar on Tuesday.

Discussions are ongoing, and the government is committed to involving all stakeholders in the process, he said.

Dhar said the government needs to consult with the people, share ideas, and raise awareness about the projects, ensuring that everyone is on board before moving forward.

“So, it will take a little more time as it is not so easy,” he added.

Referring to the complexity and scale of the projects, Dhar said, “…unless and until everybody is on board it is not easy for the government to go ahead with such a big project.”
