Museum showcasing PA Sangma’s life opens at Tura
Shillong, Mar 4: Former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma, one of the most leading public figures the North East have ever had, was remembered during his 10th death anniversary observed at PA Sangma Stadium in Tura on Wednesday.
Floral tributes were paid and the veteran leader’s legacy cherished during the programme organised by the PA Sangma Foundation.

Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma and former MP Agatha K Sangma, daughter of the late leader, along with family members attended the programme.
The PA Sangma Museum was also inaugurated on the occasion, showcasing the life and achievements of the state’s one of the tallest political figures.
The museum features memorabilia, photographs and documents tracing his journey from humble beginnings to national prominence.

Replicas of his early childhood home and schooling years were also unveiled, offering visitors a glimpse into the formative years of the late leader.
Adding to the emotional significance of the occasion was a life-size model of PA Sangma, as well as his favourite chair, which was put on display for the public.

The observance served as a tribute to his enduring contributions to the state and the nation, with speakers recalling his leadership, vision and commitment to public service.
