Tura, July 29: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday inspected the existing infrastructure of the football ground of Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) at Chandmary, Tura.
The Chief Minister paid the unscheduled visit to the football ground towards the end of the semi-final of the ongoing Tura Football League (TFL) Second Division.

He conducted a brief on-site evaluation of the facility and discussed its present condition with officials accompanying him and representatives of the District Football Association (DFA), Tura.
Among the issues discussed include fencing, boundary enclosure and gallery stands surrounding the artificial football turf.
After identifying infrastructure gaps and assessing improvements needed to enhance the venue, the Chief Minister assured that the government would work towards further developing and strengthening the sports infrastructure at the venue.
