Man gets life term for raping minor daughter in UP’s Ballia

Ballia (UP), Aug 4: A court here has sentenced a 60-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping his minor daughter in April, police said on Tuesday.

The 15-year-old girl was sleeping at her home in a village in the district when her father raped her in an inebriated state.

Special Judge (POCSO Act) Pratham Kant convicted the accused on Monday and fined him Rs 50,000, Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh said. (PTI)
