Imphal, Sep 20 (PTI) Three persons, including two residents of Assam, have been arrested in Manipur’s Senapati district, and 2.3 kg of Yaba tablets seized from their possession, a police statement said on Sunday.

Two persons, identified as Rohim Ali and Hussain Laskar from Goalpara district of Assam, were arrested on Saturday and 10 packets of Yaba tablets weighing 2.3 kg seized from their possession, it said.

Following further investigation, one of their accomplices, identified as Md Nawaz Khan of Mayang Imphal in Imphal West district, was also arrested, the statement said.

A case was registered against them at Senapati police station for further legal action and they would be produced before a court during the day, an official said.
