Bangladeshi tout held

Shillong, Apr 7: A Bangladeshi tout was arrested by BSF personnel near the Indo-Bangla border at Dawki in West Jaintia Hills on Sunday.

One Md. Ibrahim, a resident of Sylhet district, was caught while he was attempting to evade BSF troops surveilling the border area.

During the preliminary inquiry, the apprehended individual revealed that he is a Bangladeshi national and was acting as a tout and is also involved in cross-border smuggling and facilitating illegal infiltration. 

He was handed over to Dawki Police Station for further investigation and necessary legal action.
