Changes in GST Act

Shillong, Jan 31: The state government has approved an ordinance to incorporate changes made by the Goods and Services Tax Council (GSTC).

“There were certain changes adopted in GSTC which will now be incorporated and this ordinance was brought in to regularise those decisions made by the GSTC in our own Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017,” chief minister Conrad Sangma said after a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

All state governments are required to bring the necessary amendments to their own GST Acts, he said.
