Shillong, June 19: East Khasi Hills District administration has issued a tourist advisory restricting entry to Air Force Station, Laitkor Peak, for four hours on June 20, in view of the scheduled visit of the Union Defence Minister.
According to an order issued by the deputy commissioner, tourist entry to Laitkor Peak will remain closed from 7am to 11am on June 20.
The restriction has been imposed due to security and logistical arrangements for the minister’s visit to the Air Force Station.
The Deputy Commissioner has requested all tourists and visitors to cooperate with the arrangement.
