Non-stop work for timely completion of Assembly building: Speaker

Shillong, Sept 9: Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma said efforts are being made to complete the interior work of the new Assembly building as early as possible.

“The interior work has begun. We are also pushing them to do it on a very aggressive non-stop working. I mean the work should be in an aggressive mode and try to finish the interior work as early as possible,” he told reporters on Monday.

However, the Speaker stated that several elements need to be taken care of, including acoustics, security, and audio-visual wiring. The installation of CCTV cameras and other security features are also crucial components that require attention.

These aspects will likely influence the timeline for completion, he added.
