Saipung sirdar seeks Guv’s guidance

Shillong, Sept 26: Zosiama Thianglai, Sirdar, Saipung Sirdarship in East Jaintia Hills district on Wednesday made a courtesy visit to Governor CH Vijayashankar.

During the meeting, Thianglai expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the governor and discussed matters concerning the welfare and development of the Saipung Sirdarship. He highlighted the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the people of Saipung and sought the Governor’s guidance on various issues pertaining to the region’s socio-economic growth.

The Governor appreciated the sirdar’s commitment to the well-being of the Saipung community and assured him of the Raj Bhavan’s continued support in addressing their developmental concerns.
