Imphal, Sep 22: Three militants belonging to two different factions of a banned outfit have been arrested by security forces in Manipur’s Imphal East district, a police statement said on Tuesday.
All the arrests were made on Monday, it said.
An insurgent belonging to Kangleipak Communist Party (MFL) was nabbed by a joint team of state police commandos and Assam Rifles from Andro area. He has been identified as 21-year-old Yumnam Ramos Singh.
In another joint operation by state police commandos and the Army, two active members of KCP (Apunba) were nabbed in Lamlai area. They were identified as Ngangom Loijinghenba Meitei (22) and Ngangom Hemba Meitei (28), the statement added. (PTI)
