Shillong, Feb 21: NPP state president and deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong has expressed confidence about the party’s victory in the autonomous district council (ADC) elections in Khasi and Jaintia Hills.

Barring a few, the party hopes to win every constituency, Tynsong said after casting his vote for KHADC election, at Pynursla in East Khasi Hills district on Friday.

“The NPP is committed to serving the people and the state through all the three ADCs, if the people give their mandate,” he added.

Asked, the National People’s Party (NPP) state president said the party has visited almost every village highlighting the importance of MDCs assisting the government in ensuring all round development in every constituency and to further strengthen the ADCs for protection of the indigenous community.

The five-time legislator of Pynursla constituency also expressed confidence that his nephew and NPP candidate from Langkyrdem-Laitkroh, Rahboklang Tynsong, and sitting MDC from Nongshken, Grace Mary Kharpuri, bag their respective seats.
