Shillong, Feb 19: Voice of the People Party (VPP) MP from Shillong Dr Ricky AJ Syngkon passed away at Dr HG Roberts Hospital, Shillong on Thursday night.
Sources informed that Dr Syngkon was admitted at the hospital immediately after he collapsed while playing football at Mawlai Mawiong.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, VPP president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit, and other legislators and political leaders also rushed to the hospital.
