‘We are all rooting for you’: Keerthy Suresh’s birthday wish for Vijay

Chennai, Jun 23: Actor Keerthy Suresh has shared a heartfelt birthday message for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, lauding him for embarking on a new chapter of leadership and public service.

Vijay, one of Tamil cinema’s biggest superstars who assumed office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, turned 52 on Monday.

In a post on X on Monday night, Suresh said Vijay’s birthdays were traditionally been associated with announcements related to his films, including first looks, teasers and trailers, something fans eagerly anticipated every year.

“For years, your birthday meant waiting for a first look, a teaser, a trailer, or the announcement of a new film. It became a ritual we all looked forward to,” the actor wrote alognside photos with the Tamil Nadu CM.

“For the first time in over a decade, there isn’t a new character being introduced to the world. Instead, we are witnessing something far more significant. You are reintroducing yourself, not as a hero on screen, but as a leader stepping into a new chapter of service and responsibility,” she said.

The National Award-winning actor, who featured alongside Vijay in 2017’s “Bairavaa” and 2018’s “Sarkar”, said his latest phase marks “a brand new journey” and expressed her support for him.

“We are all here rooting for you,” she added.

Concluding the note, Suresh wrote, “Happy birthday to Thalapathy, who will always hold a special place in our hearts.”

Vijay entered politics by launching his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in 2024.

In the recently-held Tamil Nadu assembly elections, the TVK emerged as the single largest party with 108 seats and formed the government with the support of the Congress and other parties. (PTI)
