Shillong, Feb 15: Apollo Hospitals has collaborated with Shillong-based Trinity Healthcare to launch Apollo Trinity Medical Center Shillong on February 19.
“Specialists from various Apollo centers across India will be available for consultations, alongside a team of local experts in medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, cardiology and oncology,” said Debapriya Deb, CEO of Apollo Trinity Medical Center in Shillong.

Deb informed that the Center is equipped with advanced diagnostic services, including ECG, TMT, echocardiography, pulmonary function tests (PFT), ultrasound, X-ray, dental care, ophthalmology, physiotherapy and an integrated lab.
The lab is directly linked with Apollo Diagnostics, ensuring standardized and high-quality test results, he said.
As part of its second phase of expansion, the Center will introduce dialysis, endoscopy, CT scans and MRI services, he added.
The Center will also launch a patient app to book appointments, schedule home sample collections, and access medical reports digitally.
The app will also streamline the appointment system, helping to reduce waiting times and improve efficiency.
He also informed that doctors will have a dedicated app to manage patient flow more effectively, ensuring minimal delays in consultations.
To provide a patient-friendly experience, the Center has introduced Patient Care Executives, who will assist patients from arrival to departure. For senior citizens, home sample collection and doorstep report delivery will be offered, eliminating the need for frequent hospital visits.
To ease the trouble of going far away for medical consultations, the Center aims at offering telemedicine consultations with top Apollo specialists from Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati.
“While Apollo follows standard pricing, the rates are adjusted to local market dynamics to ensure affordability,” Deb said.
He also ensured of tie-ups with government health insurance schemes like Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) and Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) after an initial operational period of three months.
Looking ahead, Apollo Trinity Medical Center plans to launch a Super-Specialty Apollo Hospital in Shillong within the next one and a half to two years, he said.
Chief minister Conrad K Sangma, health minister Amapreen Lyngdoh, and chief secretary DP Wahlang are scheduled to attend the launch of the Centre on February 19.
