Ampati officials undergo training for electoral roll revision

Shillong, June 17: Election staff in South West Garo Hills underwent training Wednesday at the DRDA Conference Hall to prepare for the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls scheduled with reference to October 1.

Organised by the District Election Officer’s office, the session brought together BLO Supervisors and Enumerators from Ampati, Mahendraganj and Salmanpara Assembly constituencies.

Officials walked them through the guidelines, procedures and timelines for the revision exercise, with focus on accuracy, inclusiveness and transparency.

The Election Branch team also covered field-level data collection and verification steps, and cleared queries raised by participants to ensure consistent implementation.

Officials urged all functionaries to carry out their duties diligently for a smooth revision process in the district.
