Arunachal Pradesh: Spear Corps launches yoga training for soldiers in Along

Along, Sept 17 : The Indian Army’s Spear Corps has launched a two-week yoga training programme for soldiers stationed at Along in Arunachal Pradesh, aiming to enhance physical endurance and mental resilience. The programme, running from September 15 to 27, is tailored to the demands of troops operating in challenging terrain and weather conditions.

Led by trained instructors, the sessions include postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques designed to improve focus, stress management, and overall fitness. Military authorities said the initiative reflects the Army’s commitment to holistic well-being and is aligned with the national vision of promoting yoga as a way of life.

Officials noted that yoga’s emphasis on discipline and self-control resonates with the ethos of soldiering, helping troops maintain composure under operational stress and recover quickly from fatigue. The programme is expected to strengthen both the physical robustness and psychological balance of participating soldiers, equipping them for demanding military tasks.

Troops at Along have responded enthusiastically, with the Army expressing confidence that the training will leave a lasting impact on combat readiness and morale.
