Shira unfazed by Tourism portfolio going to Paul Lyngdoh

Shillong, Nov 3: Cabinet Minister Timothy D Shira on Tuesday said he has no complaints over the Tourism portfolio reshuffle, saying he is ready to adjust to any decision taken by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.

The portfolio has been allotted to reinducted Cabinet Minister Paul Lyngdoh.

“I don’t know what portfolio will be given to me. It is the Chief Minister’s prerogative. If anything is given to me, I am satisfied,” he said.

Shira said he was not consulted but has no complaint. “We are here to serve the people,” he said.

“He (CM) knows my mind. Even if I am not consulted, I don’t mind, I can adjust. He knows very well my mind and he knows my party loyalty,” he said.
