Ampati, Nov 6: The head of India’s seventh Kali Ashram, located on the interstate border between Assam and Garo Hills, has passed away on November 6th morning leaving thousands of devotees bereaved.
Revered by Hindu devotees as the fifth guru of Borkona Kali Dhan, Shrimat Shyamananda Brahmachari-ji, passed away early Wednesday morning at the ripe age of 89.
Under his leadership, Borkona Kali Dham, located at the border of South Salmara district, Mankachar, and South West Garo Hills, rose to prominence as a center of spiritual enlightenment and is now recognized as the seventh Kali Ashram in India.
Known for his compassion and wisdom, Shrimat Shyamananda Brahmachari Ji dedicated his life to transforming Borkona Kali Dham into a place of peace, solace, and spiritual growth.
Since taking on his role in 1987, he provided guidance and support to countless devotees who came to the ashram for direction in their spiritual lives.
Following news of his death, devotees from across the region gathered to pay their respects, honoring his legacy with prayers and expressing gratitude for his impact on their lives. Many offered prayers for his peaceful journey to Golokdham, the divine abode in Hindu belief.
